Le Fête: Island

Le Fête is a self-catered outdoor dining fundraiser that brings together hundreds of people to enjoy an evening of great food and wine, community and creativity. The relaxed simplicity of the concept is familiar and at the heart of the event.

Gather your friends together for a memorable and magical night. We provide an exclusive venue, tables, chairs, entertainment, and ambiance.  Guests bring their own table decor, a delicious picnic spread, beverages, wine, and champagne.

Once your table is beautifully set, sit back and enjoy a night of

Carribean Carnival Vibes!

The 2020 theme for Le Fete is "Island" featuring a Caribbean Carnival VIBE! The dress code is all-white attire or in Caribbean Carnival inspired costume.  If you've never experienced a Carribean Carnival event, you're in for a treat.  If you have, you know how much fun it is!

We kick off the event with a Grand Mas parade to the island along with a live steel drum band, costumed dancers, and a few surprise guests! After dinner, we wind the night away, island-style, to a DJ spinning soca, reggae, dancehall, and Naija music.

How to Get Ready for Le Fête: Island

*Note: Each year will be hosted at a different venue, so details and rules may change.  Check each event's individual description for information.

Our Venue

Gateway Island is a jewel of Rutherford County.  This manmade island features a lake overlook, cascading waterfalls, beautiful landscaping, ducks, and a gorgeous gazebo.  With sparkling clean restrooms and an indoor reception center, our venue takes care of all of our guests' needs.    1875 W College St, Murfreesboro, TN 37129

Adjacent to the General Bragg Trailhead, the College Street Trailhead at 1902 West College Street provides connection, parking, and access to the Gateway Trail and Island.  Guests will park at the General Bragg Trailhead lot at 1540 West College Street.  There will be a short, funfilled walking parade from the parking lot to the island, featuring guests, a steel drum band, costumed dancers, and our title sponsor!

What to Wear

The 2020 theme for Le Fete is "Island" featuring a Caribbean Carnival VIBE! The dress code is all-white attire or you can come dressed in a Caribbean Carnival inspired costume.  Free group costume-making workshops are available for ticketholders who would like to DIY their costume, just bring your own materials.  All attire and costumes must cover appropriate areas of the body.

The evening centers around a stunning self-catered picnic. We recommend that you bring a combination of appetizers, main courses, and desserts to enjoy and share.   Please only use real dishes (white, silver, gold), utensils/flatware, and wine/champagne glasses.

Table Dêcor

Experience is EVERYTHING for the essential Le Fête experience. Be creative with table decor and place settings! You can decorate with things like fresh flowers, real dishes, silverware, place cards, and pictures to dress up your table. We will also have some table enhancements to rent for the night to make your table even more extravagant! Feel free to walk around to see the creative table decor and meet new people.

Popping Bottles

Wine, champagne, and beer are the only alcoholic beverages invited to this soiree. Guests ages 21+ may bring corked bottles of wine/champagne to enjoy on the island.  Beer, wine, and champagne must be consumed from glasses.  Guests must show ID and wear wristbands to consume alcohol.    ID's will be checked and all alcohol laws and regulations apply and will be enforced.

What to Bring

A picnic basket or nice cooler, a gourmet meal spread for your party, a white tablecloth,

white cloth-napkins, real cutlery, dishware, glassware and a garbage bag for trash (preferably a white one).  We provide the venue, tables, chairs, music, and ambiance!

Bashment {The Party}

After dinner, we wind the night away, island-style, to DJ Vu spinning soca, reggae, dance hall, and Naija music. We'll light up the night with special surprises all night!  When the event is over we leave our one-night-only magical location clean and “untouched” like we were never there.

What if it Rains?

A little rain is good for the skin!! The weather last year was partly sunny and in the low 80's, but if rain is the forecast, please bring an umbrella and a poncho just in case.  As long as the weather conditions are not dangerous, we will dine rain or shine!

Le Fête is a family-friendly event and should be fun and welcoming for all guests. Because of the nature of this event, we respectfully require cooperation to make this a special evening from beginning to end, while avoiding any incidents. This event includes a large number of people with and without children.  Please be conscious of their experience as well as your own.
